David Turnbull will make his international debut as Scotland face Netherlands in the first of their Euro 2020 warm-up games.
Manager Steve Clarke’s plans to face the Dutch were thrown into disarray when John Fleck tested positive for coronavirus and the Scottish FA decided to leave six further players back at their training base to minimise any further risk.
David Marshall, Stephen O’Donnell, Nathan Patterson, Grant Hanley, John McGinn and Che Adams all sit the game out, though all returned negative tests.
With Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour not starting after joining the squad late following their European club finals, Clarke’s options were restricted.
Craig Gordon starts in goal with Kieran Tierney, Liam Cooper and Jack Hendry in defence. Captain Andy Robertson is in the left wing-back slot, with James Forrest on the opposite flank.
Turnbull is in midfield alongside Celtic team-mate Callum McGregor and Stuart Armstrong, with Ryan Christie supporting striker Lyndon Dykes.
