UEFA has given the green light for Hampden to continue as a host venue for Euro 2020, with plans for 12,000 supporters given their approval.
Scotland’s national stadium was chosen as one of a number of venues for the pan-European competition, which was postponed last year because of the pandemic.
With the tournament now just two months away, UEFA had asked all host nations for indications of how many fans expected to be able to admit in June.
The Scottish FA and Glasgow Life submitted detailed plans which had been put together with the Scottish Government, with plans for 25% of the capacity of Hampden to be used.
UEFA has now confirmed games will go ahead at eight cities, including Glasgow, with fans in attendance.
It has asked for further information and plans from Munich, Bilbao, Rome and Dublin, where no clear assurances could be given.
Scotland will play two group games in Glasgow after qualifying for their first major tournament in 23 years. Steve Clarke’s team will play Czech Republic on June 14 and host Croatia eight days later.
