Van Bronckhorst: Rangers will be 'all out' for win at Celtic Park

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst believes his side can beat Celtic on their own turf on Sunday to keep their slim title hopes alive, and will be “all out” for victory.

The Ibrox side travel back from Germany on Friday after their narrow 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Europa League semi-final first leg. They have a short turnaround before Sunday’s Premiership clash, and face the decisive return match against Leipzig in Glasgow on Thursday.

Celtic hold a six-point lead and better goal difference with just four games to go, so a win for Ange Postecoglou’s side would all but seal the title. Rangers know that if they can beat their rivals they still have a small chance of successfully defending the trophy they won last year.

Van Bronckhorst admitted he will make some changes to his team after their efforts in Germany, but will be aiming to win on Sunday.

“Yesterday the approach was to bring a good result back to Ibrox,” he said. “Sunday we have to go all out and do everything for the win.

“Our focus is now on Celtic, we will recover and prepare for the game on Sunday. The belief is there, we will go there to get a good result. My objective is to have my players well prepared mentally and physically.

“I know my players will do everything on Sunday to get a good result, this is what they have continued to do through a hectic schedule.

“We still have a shot at a European final, this shows the excellent performances of our players in Europe. We have a shot next week to give it our all and our aim is to reach the final.”
