Scotland’s players and staff have begun their preparations for the games that will decide their Nations League fate.
Steve Clarke’s squad has gathered in Glasgow to begin training ahead of the trip to Athens on Thursday for the first leg of the play-off against Greece, with a place in the top tier of the competition at stake.
The national team are hoping for a positive result to bring back to Hampden for Sunday’s decisive second leg when the home crowd hopes to see them secure League A status and lay down a marker ahead of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
Clarke has named an exciting squad with a few new faces in it, as George Hirst joins the set up after receiving international clearance, while young talents Lennon Miller and James Wilson have been selected for the first time.
We’ll hear from John Carver on Monday when he’ll reveal the mood ahead of this week’s action, and the expectation Clarke and his colleagues have for the international camp.
