Rangers could be paired with high-profile opposition from England, Spain or Italy when the draw for the last 16 of the Europa League is made on Friday.
The Ibrox side came through four qualifying rounds to reach the competition proper, progressed from their group and beat Braga home and away in the first knockout round to reach this stage.
They now go into the hat with some big names and the ambition to cause another upset.
Fifteen teams have booked their place, with Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Salzburg still to complete their tie, and the draw will take place at 12pm UK time on Friday.
English sides Manchester United and Wolves are possible opponents, as are Roma, Inter Milan, Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen.
Basel, Istanbul Basaksehir and LASK lie in wait, along with Copenhagen, who knocked out Celtic. Getafe earned their place with a win over Ajax, with Shakhtar Donetsk, Olympiacos and Wolfsburg completing the list.
