Teenage attacker Zak Lovelace is leaving Rangers on deadline day to return to his former club Millwall.
The 19-year-old has been part of manager Philippe Clement’s matchday squad in recent weeks and featured against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League.
STV understands the player wanted to return to London and he’ll now sign with the side he left in July 2022.
Lovelace saw his first team opportunities at Ibrox limited, and had two long spells out with hamstring injuries, but did look to have turned a corner as Clement introduced a number of younger players into his side recently.
Now the winger, who was Millwall’s second-youngest debutant in his first spell at the club, will look to help Alex Neil’s side climb the Championship table.
Rangers, who earlier announced that Lyall Cameron will join from Dundee this summer, were looking to bring in a winger on deadline day but it’s understood this is now unlikely to happen.
