A bus and a van have been involved in a crash on the A90 in Angus.
Emergency services were called to the collision shortly after 8am on Thursday, where the extent of injuries is not known.
A road closure is in place on the A928 northbound from the A90 to A94 junctions.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called around 8.10am following a two vehicle crash involving a bus and a van on the A90 between Dundee and Forfar at the Petterden junction.
“The ambulance service, police and fire service are in attendance. The extent of injuries is not currently known.
“Northbound road of the A928 is currently closed from the A90 Junction to the A94 Junction.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman added: “We were alerted at 8.13am on Thursday to reports of a road traffic collision on the A90 northbound at the Petterden junction, near Forfar, Angus, involving several vehicles.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where firefighters assisted emergency service partners.
“Crews remain in attendance.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed a total of seven patients were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.
