£61 million was spent in Fife alone bringing a welcome boost after two years of Covid closures

The 150th Open Championship in St Andrews last year generated £350 million for the Scottish economy.

A record 290,000 spectators attended the event at the home of golf, with more than 60% visiting from outside of Scotland.
