Action needed as station not fit for service, say fire brigade

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service says almost half its 356 stations are either in poor or bad condition.

The fire service says urgent action is needed as it revealed some of its stations are no longer fit for purpose.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have launched a review which looks at the location of fire stations and the wider issues around the future of the service.

But the Fire Brigade Union warn the review should not be a smokescreen for cuts.
