Almost 3,000 Scots with Type 1 Diabetes are on an NHS waiting list for “life-changing” insulin pumps.
New figures, obtained by Scottish Labour and shared exclusively with STV News, show that some people waited up to five years for the technology, which monitors and injects insulin automatically.
One woman who says she “fell off” the waiting list for a pump told STV News how she has now got her life back after receiving one, but so many others are still waiting and struggling with the condition.
