Avian flu outbreak at Glasgow Loch leaves 12 swans dead

It comes as the UK struggles with its biggest ever outbreak of the disease

At least 12 swans have died in Glasgow’s Hogganfield Loch in what is thought to be the biggest outbreak of Avian flu in the west of Scotland.

Walkers and dog owners are being urged to stay away from the area – which is a popular site for bird watching.
