Call the Midwife star Laura Main has returned to her home of Aberdeen to help save Aberdeen Arts Centre from closure.
The actress has been announced as the new patron of the theatre – and says she’d never have considered a career in the arts if she hadn’t been able to tread the boards there growing up.
The Arts Centre is on a funding drive to keep its spotlight shining, but some fear if it doesn’t raise the money it needs, casts and companies won’t have the space they need to put on performances.
