Charity hoping to bring water safety skills to all primary pupils

In England water safety classes are now part of the national curriculum.

A charity which promotes water safety education is hoping they can expand their work and introduce lessons to all school children.

Kirsty Doig launched the Darcey Sunshine Foundation after her daughter tragically drowned just two months before her fourth birthday in a pool in the family’s garden in South Africa.

The family has since returned to Scotland and wants safety classes to be taught in all schools.
