City council must engage with communities, says watchdog

The Accounts Commission says Edinburgh council has to save over £100m by 2029.

Edinburgh City Council must engage with residents and communities and then act on their views as it searches for savings – that’s according to the local government spending watchdog.

The council says it’s made significant improvements but that Edinburgh remains the lowest funded council per head in Scotland.
