Council admits they were wrong not to close floodgates

The authority now says the decision 'may have contributed to the degree of flood damage'.

Perth and Kinross Council has admitted it was wrong not to close floodgates in the North Inch area during heavy rainfall last year.

Properties and businesses in parts of Perth were flooded when the River Tay burst its banks in October last year.
