Scottish universities are at the centre of plans to create virtual replicas of physical cities in order to test and trial transport measures as Scotland looks to decarbonise roads, rail, sea and air.
Using data from the real world – digital twins of the likes of Edinburgh could be key in identifying the lowest cost, least risky and most efficient ways of combating climate change.
