Dundee foodbank to close after drop in demand for deliveries

At its peak, the charity was delivering up to 50 food parcels a day.

It has supported around 10,000 struggling Dundee families over the last decade.

Now organisers behind the group Taught by Muhammad are preparing to close their foodbank.

It is due to a drop in demand for parcels being delivered to people’s homes.

However, volunteers are reporting a growing need for face-to-face support through their community cafes.
