Edinburgh ‘could lose £57m from more short-term let restrictions’

Edinburgh City Council is currently considering feedback from a public survey on short-term lets.

A new report has found that Edinburgh’s economy could lose out on £57m if there are further reductions to short-term lets – despite the sector making up less than 1% of housing in the city.

Campaigners are now warning of a potential crisis for Scottish tourism which will cost jobs and do nothing to resolve Edinburgh’s housing emergency.
