Harry de Vries died after suffering a heart attack in January.
The Scottish Ambulance Service say they were experiencing around three hours of delays at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on the night he died.
It’s further evidence of the pressure NHS Grampian is facing as they try to balance the books and reduce ambulance waiting times.
