A series of wildfires took place over the weekend after an extreme warning was put in place as temperatures soared in Scotland.
A number of fire crews were sent to a fire at Ugie Beach in Peterhead in Aberdeenshire on Saturday evening and police say they are treating the incident as deliberate.
Meanwhile, emergency crews and estate staff tackled a five-mile-long wildfire in Assynt on Saturday, and firefighters tackled another blaze near Loch Lomond.
The extreme wildfire warning for much of Scotland has now been lifted, but experts are urging people to take extra care in the warmer weather, as conditions following winter mean there’s more flammable dead debris on the ground.
