Visiting the site of a major fire in Perth, the First Minister has said more lives could have been lost had it not been for the brave actions of firefighters.
John Swinney toured the scene of the devastating blaze on Tuesday, which falls in his constituency.
It claimed the life of one man and injured four others, including two firefighters.
Crews saved the lives of at least ten people, with many clambering down drainpipes and onto the roof to escape the burning building.
