Musicians from across the world have travelled to Shetland this weekend to take part in its 44th annual folk festival.
The event is the UK’s most northerly folk festival and includes a range of local talents as well as international acts from as far as Mexico and the US.
Acts from across the world have been travelling to Shetland since the early 1980s for the renowned festival, and with 200 international visitors are expected this year, the event is continuing to gain momentum across the globe.
