Grampian surgeon pioneers new type of brain surgery

The new approach can have patients back home within days of the procedure.

In what’s being described as a world first, an NHS Grampian surgeon has pioneered a new form of brain surgery, which can remove tumours the size of tennis balls through the eyebrow.

It takes half the time of a standard craniotomy and vastly reduces the chances of any long-term side effects.
