Gray apologises after NHS Grampian declares critical incident

Ambulances had to be turned away from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary last week.

The health secretary has apologised to patients after NHS Grampian declared a critical incident at its biggest hospital, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Neil Gray apologised to those affected and said that the Scottish Government is working on improving the situation.

It comes as Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin stopped non-essential visits and closed some wards to new patients due to a vomiting and diarrhoea outbreak.
