“Groundbreaking” genetic screening could save lives in some of Scotland’s most remote communities.

A major fundraiser has now been launched to make Shetland the first population in Scotland to be genetically screened to prevent a number of life-threatening conditions, that are more common in the community than the rest of the UK.
