Health board to look at takeaway portion sizes in obesity drive

The idea was brough forward by the NHS Director of Public Health in Fife.

The NHS Fife director of public health says she wants to work with takeaways and restaurants in the region to help people become healthier.

We’re told Joy Tomlinson was “unavailable” to discuss her ideas today, although in a report for the health board, she used language around “portion size reduction.”

It’s all part of attempts to tackle rising obesity levels.
