Lectures hold demonstration outside parliament amid university budget crisis

Dundee University is facing a £30m black hole in its accounts.

A senior lecturer at Dundee University is accusing his own institution of being “incapable” of explaining how it’s been left facing a £30m funding deficit.

Carlo Morelli made the comments during a demonstration outside the Scottish Parliament today.

It was held over job security and budget concerns – with staff in Dundee said to be at “the sharp end of a crisis”.
