A swimming pool in rural Lewis, where Champion swimmer Kara Hanlon honed her skills, has been earmarked for closure as part of £1m savings in the Western Isles Council’s Budget.
The authority says it has to make tough decisions due to its funding from the Scottish Government, which has decreased by 17% in recent years.
