Lung condition sufferers not receiving recommended care

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease affects more than 130,000 people in Scotland

New research shows that nearly one in five people surveyed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – or COPD – waited more than four years to be diagnosed.

The report by charity Asthma and Lung UK Scotland also found fewer than a fifth of those surveyed received recommended levels of care.
