A mum from Renfrewshire has told STV News she’s facing a bill of £4,000 to send her son to nursery because of a council policy change.
The local authority provides 30 hours of free childcare for all three-year-olds, but it only applies from the start of the school term – not from the child’s birthday.
More than 500 parents have signed a petition demanding the local authority reconsider the issue.
