Mum fighting for daughter’s additional needs school place

North Lanarkshire Council rejected Jill O'Hara's application for a place in one of its specialist schools for daughter Ruby.

The mum of a primary seven pupil with autism is fighting to have her placed in a specialist additional support needs school in North Lanarkshire, after the local authority rejected her application.

Ruby O’Hara has complex learning difficulties and her mum Jill says she’ll suffer if she’s placed in a mainstream high school.
