Parents of cyclist who died call for transport safety changes

Emma Burke Newman was killed in a collision with a lorry on Broomielaw in January

The parents of a 22-year old woman killed while riding her bike in Glasgow city centre say heavy goods vehicles and cyclists should not share the same space on the roads.

Emma’s parents want the Scottish Government to provide greater protection for cyclists.

Their plea comes the day before a protest at Holyrood demanding safety changes for bike riders in Scotland.
