Plans for Edinburgh to Fife hovercraft to be revisited

The idea was trialled back in 2007 with a hovercraft between the Kirkcaldy and Portobello.

Councillors in Fife are looking to revisit plans for a vessel linking Kirkcaldy and the north of Edinburgh.

The idea was trialled back in 2007 with a hovercraft between the town and Portobello, but the project failed to take off.

Now, there is fresh hope that the idea can be considered once more.
