Keir Starmer has used his speech at the Labour conference in Liverpool to confirm that Great British Energy, the UK’s new publicly owned energy company, will be headquartered in Aberdeen.
The Prime Minister promised light at the end of the tunnel if the country sticks to his tough economic plans.
More than 20,000 Labour activists gathered in Liverpool and packed out the conference hall to hear their leader.
But for the first time in a long time, everyone else’s eyes were on this conference, to hear from the UK Prime Minister.
