RAAC residents say they won’t be forced out of their homes

More than 500 homes affected by the crumbling concrete will be demolished in the Balnagask area.

Aberdeen residents whose homes have been found to have potentially dangerous concrete RAAC say they won’t be forced out.

The local authority is offering them market value for their properties – but with the cost of repairs to roof panels deducted.

Homeowners claim they’ll be left thousands of pounds in debt, and will not be engaging in the acquisition process until Aberdeen City Council change the valuation terms.
