Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar has branded the leader of Reform in Scotland, Lord Malcolm Offord, a liar and a “pathetic, poisonous, odious little man” following a clash during a TV debate on Tuesday evening.
Offord claimed Sarwar had suggested in December that the two parties should work together to remove the SNP from power.
Sarwar has denied the allegation, while Offord insisted he is not making it up.
The clash came as Lord Offord came under fire over his party’s billboard adverts, which showed a small boat with asylum seekers under the slogan “Scotland is at breaking point”.
