Scots businesses worry as Trump tariffs to come into force

Around a sixth of all international exports from Scotland go to the US.

New tariffs for goods entering America will come into force from tomorrow.

The US President Donald Trump has claimed the UK is very happy with how it has been treated in his plan.

However, the Chancellor has stressed the need for a trade deal as financial markets continue to tumble.

Companies here are waiting to see the full impact of the new charges with around a sixth of all international exports from Scotland going to the US.
