Households in Scotland will see their energy bills increase by an average of more than £200 a year, a 13% rise, as we continue to feel the effects of the war in Iran.
The rise could push even more families into fuel poverty, at a time when budgets are already stretched.
Starting from July, typical homes will now face an annual energy cost of £1,862.
The energy regulator Ofgem says the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is behind the surge, with prices expected to rise again in October.
