Scottish cyclist Rab Wardell passes away in his sleep

The 37-year-old from Dunfermline had been well known in the sport and today fans and fellow athletes have been paying tribute

Olympic cyclist Katie Archibald has described how she desperately tried in vain to save her partner’s life after he had a cardiac arrest in his sleep.

Champion mountain biker Rab Wardell died just hours after winning the Scottish title.
