STV News can reveal seven young cardiac patients were given just a tenth of the pain relief they should have received following open heart surgery last summer at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has admitted the error was made repeatedly, and involved youngsters operated on in the same theatre on six different days.
On Friday, they reiterated an apology to the patients and parents affected.
Three of the seven families say their trust has been shaken, and they’re still waiting for answers.
