A social media influencer who was described in court as “naive and immature” was jailed on Thursday for trying to smuggle 17 kilos of cannabis into Scotland.
Ellie Crampsie, 23, Glasgow, was caught at Edinburgh Airport last year, attempting to bring more than £150,000 of cannabis in sealed packages in her luggage as she travelled home from Thailand.
Crampsie pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis to others and was sentenced to 16 months in prison.
