He won his freedom in the 18th century, arguing because slavery wasn't recognised in Scotland, he should be a free man

The story of a man who used the Scottish Courts system to break the chains of slavery has been turned into a play.

Now, his life and the landmark ruling is being brought to audiences across Scotland.
