Last year collectively we drove more than 20 billion miles, yet two thirds of journeys last 20 minutes or less

Is Scotland losing the battle on sustainable transport? By, the end of the decade, the Government has vowed to cut the amount we drive by 20%.

But the use of public transport has drastically fallen over the last five years. Bus routes have been cut and rail passenger numbers have been falling consistently.

Meanwhile, there are more cars on our roads than ever before.

Can we be convinced to break the driving habit and be persuaded to use public transport or other more active forms of travel?
