Swinney joins New York Tartan Week parade as tariffs hit

For Scotland's leaders gathered in New York, the message was: keep calm, and carry on marching.

“This is a moment for cool heads” – that’s the warning from the Prime Minister as the impact of President Trump’s tariffs are felt across the world’s financial markets.

On Monday, Keir Starmer pledged to back British business against US tariffs.

Meanwhile, the First Minister held talks with business leaders on the last day of a visit to New York, which saw him join the Tartan Week parade at the weekend.
