A teenager has told a murder trial about the moment he witnessed his ‘best friend’ being stabbed to death at Irvine Beach.
The 17-year-old witness said youths from a rival East Kilbride gang came to Irvine beach specifically for them, before 18-year-old Cole Turley chased and killed 16-year-old Kayden Moy.
Turley previously pleaded guilty to murder, while 18-year-old Jay Stewart and a 15-year-old who can’t be named deny all charges against them.
Turley had pled guilty to murder before the trial. The two teens on trial have lodged a special defence of incrimination against him.
