The House of the Binns due to reopen after restoration

At more than 400 years old, the house has been Witness to centuries of Scottish history

After major repairs, an historic West Lothian building dating back to 1612 is finally reopening to the public.

The House of the Binns, which is near Linlithgow was the home of the late MP Tam Dalyell but has been in the care of The National Trust since 1944.

It now holds thousands of fascinating artefacts which give a glimpse into Scotland’s history, and the heritage of the family who still live there.
