The substances are found in some weight loss medications, such as Mounjaro and Wegovy, which are fully tested and regulated.
But many other peptides circulating online have not been approved for human use. There’s been a surge in their popularity among fitness and beauty influencers, but now there are calls for tighter regulation of their sale.
