GP organisations warned a Holyrood committee today there’s a real risk of a staff exodus if assisted dying is introduced – due to the “moral distress” and potentially increased workload for doctors.

But as MSPs explore the controversial issue for a third time, campaigners fighting to legalise it claim the “tide is turning” on assisted dying.
