Trial begins of man accused of murdering brother-in-law with a shotgun

A trial is underway for a man accused of murdering his brother-in-law on Skye with a shotgun.

Finlay MacDonald is also accused of the attempted murder of his wife, Rowena Macdonald, and the attempted murders of a couple, John and Fay Mackenzie.

Macdonald has lodged a special defence – saying he was impaired by an ‘abnormality of mind’.
