The trial of a man accused of murdering his former wife in Aberdeen 45 years ago has been told he killed her because her couldn’t bear the thought of her being with another man.
Closing arguments were heard in the Brenda Page murder trial at the High Court in the city. Advocate Depute Alex Prentice KC told the jury, the accused Christopher Harrisson, consumed with anger and rage killed his former wife.
Defending the 82 year old, Brian McConnachie said there was not a single shred of evidence to suggest he was in her flat on the night of the alleged murder.
